Day 1: Introduction to Mobile Data Collection

Overview of Mobile Data Collection Tools
o Introduction to ODK and Kobo Collect.
o Comparison of paper-based and mobile-based data collection.
o Benefits and ethical considerations of mobile data collection.

o Compare sample paper and mobile survey formats.

Day 2: Setting Up and Designing Surveys

Setting Up ODK/Kobo Collect
o Installing and configuring ODK/Kobo Collect on Android devices.
o Setting up synchronization with the server.
o Overview of web interfaces: ODK Aggregate/Kobo Toolbox.
Designing Survey Forms
o Principles of survey design: question types, logic, skips, and validations.
o Building survey forms using ODK Build/Kobo Toolbox.
o Exporting survey forms to XML or XLSX formats.
